The EdTech Centre at UCSI Schools is a dynamic, purpose-built technology and learning hub designed to support every subject and every year group across the school. Recently expanded to over 3000 square feet, the centre now includes a dedicated AI Lab, providing students and the wider community with opportunities to engage with technology in ways that enhance learning, creativity and real-world application.

Grounded in the development of 21st-century skills – which includes creativity, collaboration, communication, critical thinking and character – our centre empowers students to move beyond the consumption of technology and towards purposeful creation. Through hands-on experiences and emerging digital tools, students deepen understanding, solve problems and express ideas in more innovative ways.

Throughout the year, our teachers regularly utilise The EdTech Centre to enhance teaching across a structured curriculum embedded within ICT learning. Our students will also have the chance to use the equipment provided to record podcasts, compose and record music, participate in robotics challenges and more. These experiences promote authentic learning while nurturing confidence, teamwork and digital literacy.

A key feature of the expanded centre is the AI Lab, a dedicated space designed to give students age-appropriate experiences with artificial intelligence. Using physical systems such as electronic race tracks, mini houses, conveyor belts and scooters, our students are now able to connect code to real-world outcomes. Through guided projects with our dedicated teachers, students will be able to explore technological concepts skillfully, including machine learning, facial recognition, data processing and more. These skills will help them to demystify AI all while building responsibility and ethical understanding.
