Kejohanan Taekwondo Success: Cheng Ling Wins Gold & Yilin Earns Bronze at Sekolah Sri UCSI Kuala Lumpur
We are thrilled to announce that two of our students have achieved remarkable success in the recent Kejohanan Taekwondo (WTF) Jabatan Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur competition. Cheng Ling clinched the Gold medal, while Yilin secured the Bronze medal in the speed kicking category. With 50% of our students attaining 5A’s and above and an impressive 80% achieving Grade A-C (Credit and above) across subjects, our cohort has set a new standard of success. Notably, all subjects saw a 100% pass rate, reflecting the comprehensive preparation provided by our dedicated educators. Distinctions were also aplenty, with subjects like Mathematics, Bahasa Cina, and English boasting remarkable percentages.

Ms. Harshana, Senior Assistant of Sekolah Sri UCSI Kuala Lumpur, stands as a beacon of educational innovation and excellence as the lone representative from a private institution among the 13 school leaders selected from Malaysia for the prestigious Southeast Asian School Leadership Program. This highly competitive scholarship, offered under the SEAMEO Education Development Fund, attracted a staggering 4000 applicants from 11 countries.
Ms. Harshana’s successful completion of the program underscores her commitment to advancing educational leadership and underscores the dedication of Sekolah Sri UCSI Kuala Lumpur to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
The program, centred around Strategic Thinking and Innovation, Instructional Leadership, Stakeholder Leadership, Managerial Leadership, and Personal Excellence, featured a dynamic blend of self-paced activities, individual and group assignments, live sessions, country-level discussions, and inter-country dialogues.

Being the first cohort, this is rather an accomplishment in overall as our teaching and learning were challenging during the pandemic period. The dedication of the teachers and the students, with the support from the parents, does not go unnoticed.
