The programme aims to create a learning environment\u00a0and subsequently transform\u00a0the school into a hub for SDG education and leadership while encouraging students to adopt sustainable development into their professional and personal lifestyles.\u00a0<\/p><p>The\u00a0SDGs\u00a0were\u00a0developed by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Welfare, demanding\u00a0for action beyond \u2018business as usual.\u2019 Achieving these goals will involve critical stakeholders such as government agencies, civil society, businesses, academia, and youth to collaborate and participate extensively.\u00a0<\/p><p>The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) came into effect in January 2016\u00a0consisting\u00a0of a shared global framework.\u00a0This\u00a0framework aims to eradicate extreme poverty, inequality, and injustice while addressing climate change, environmental protection, as well as encourage good governance, peace, and security by 2030.\u00a0<\/p><p>Poverty and inequality, weak governance, conflict and instability, lack of infrastructure, and natural resources depletion would result in irreversible long-term problems that often undermines growth and prosperity efforts within any social community.\u00a0<\/p><p>As a learning institution,\u00a0Sekolah Sri UCSI Springhill\u00a0will play an important role to address these global challenges and accomplish these goals.\u00a0It\u00a0will join hands with other schools to carry out the responsibility of nurturing and shaping positive values while developing leadership skills for students\u00a0towards building\u00a0a sustainable future.
